Job Title: Bookkeeper, Class III

Pay:$21.95-$27.08

Location: Covina, California

Position Summary: 

Independently performs assigned account functions which include keeping a complete set of records of financial transactions for a number of Trust Funds. Quality and timely processing of the work is a must. Must be able to work with other departments, office and Account Executives, to ensure smooth operation of the Trusts and quick resolution of problems or questions.

Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
    • Five (5) years’ experience of A/P, A/R (includes invoicing), and General Ledger through financial statement preparation
    • Working experience with generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Bank, Investment, and General Ledger account reconciliation experience.
    • Journal entry preparation, entry, and posting experience.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously with a high level of detail and accuracy.
    • Able to meet deadlines and deal with situations of a dynamic nature; to be able to modify plans, actions and decisions in light of changing situations and circumstances.
    • Able to read, analyze, comprehend, disseminate and process information from invoices, computer systems ad legal documents; ability to analyze invoices for irregularities as well.
    • Able to clearly and effectively express oneself through verbal and written means in the English language; to properly use such technical factors as grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and correct spelling. To be able to prepare business letters, memoranda, and reports.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, professionals and personnel in other departments to ensure accuracy of records and timely completion of work.
      • Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
      • Able to demonstrate an understanding, and the regular use, of a time management process; to work in an organized way; to work efficiently and effectively.
    • Excellent typing skills, ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 10 pounds.
    • Ability to use office equipment such desktop computer, calculator, typewriter, photocopier, fax machine and printers; to be able to operate menu driven window software and to be proficient in the use of Windows programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
